What is the Austrian Firmenbuch?

The Firmenbuch is the Austrian equivalent of the German Handelsregister and records legally relevant company data: registered name, registered office, power of representation and capital structure. It is maintained by the regional courts acting as Firmenbuch courts - in Vienna by the Vienna Commercial Court.
